The Living God is a Missionary God
He has been since the beginning. He called Abraham to “...go to the land I will show you...” (Genesis 12). And He promised that all nations would be blessed through
Abraham’s seed. Jesus Christ is that seed, and He fulfilled the promise and charged the church with making the Good News of the promise known to every people, tribe,
tongue and nation.
It was 2,000 years ago in the first chapter of the book of Acts, when Jesus laid out a vision for the early believers to go and be His witnesses to the nations. In
those final words before returning to Heaven, He promised power through the Holy Spirit and sent them on a mission to bring all people to Him.

Our Vision
The Crossroads Missions Ministry exists to reach the lost peoples of the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ through:
- Recruiting, preparing, nurturing, discipling, and empowering those whom God has called to mission.
- Exposing, mobilizing, and equipping the Crossroads body to the mission of global evangelism, church planting, and discipleship.
- Engaging the Church around the world as a catalyst for strategic leadership and partnership development.
Our Mandate Given in God's Word
- Fulfill the Great Commission of Christ. Matthew 28:19-20
- Share Christ’s heart of love and salvation with the world. John 3:16
- Minister to the broad range of human need. Matthew 10:42 and Matthew 25:31-46
- Obey Christ by confessing Him to the world. Matthew 10:32-33
- Bless all peoples and nations. Genesis 12:1-3
Our Motivation
God’s heart for the lost and His worthiness to receive worship are the motivation for what we do.
Our Goal
Our goal is to physically hasten the return of Christ and inspire the world to worship Him!
And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come. Matthew 24:14
Our Sphere of Influence
- Individuals who have been raised up or recruited to go as missionaries.
- Crossroads Support Teams serving in the Ministry Vision.
- Programs and projects designed to expand His Kingdom globally.
- Our church body as we become engaged and equipped to carry out our charge.
- The Church by facilitating its work to fulfill God’s Great Commission.
The 10/40 Window...Leveling the Field
The Missions Ministry is committed to placing a special emphasis on sending and supporting missionaries to the 10/40 Window.
- Contains 95% of the world’s unreached people.
- Served by less than 5% of the world’s full-time Christian workers.
- The region of the world in most desperate need of cross-cultural missions.
- Home to the majority of the world’s Hindus, Muslims, and Buddhists.
While it is not our intent to neglect the rest of the world, the goals and activities of the Crossroads Missions Ministry reflect a priority for unreached peoples.
Our Priority in Prayer
God’s will on earth is accomplished as we come into agreement with Him in prayer and obedience. Therefore we press into the Lord in prayer...
- Believing in a God of resurrection power. He is the God who “...calls things that are not as though they were.” Romans 4:17
- For His vision for the Church to be fulfilled in us. “For My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations... I will gather still others to them besides
those already gathered.” Isaiah 56:7-8
- Being sure of what God wants. “Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” Matthew 6:10
- Moving forward as we wear the full armor of God. “The gates of hell will not prevail against it (the church).” Matthew 16:18
- Knowing that He has good plans for us as we walk in faithfulness. “For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in
advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10
- Believing! “What must we do to do the works God requires?” Jesus answered, “The work of God is this: to believe...” John 6:28-29
How We Get it Done
An empowered lay leadership, comprised of hundreds of volunteers, works in a variety of ways to fulfill the blueprint laid out for our church. They are people of all
ages, gifts and skill sets who simply love Jesus and are willing to step out and serve.
Get Engaged
You can get involved in many ways. In fact, opportunities are available for everyone. Consider how you might play a part in completing the work of the Great Commission.
Task Forces
Crossroads currently has several Task Forces comprised of lay leaders. Each Task Force adopts one global field. Through prayer, research and networking, each Task Force
directs the strategy of Crossroads’ impact on that field.
Support Teams
Support Teams encourage, bless and pray for our missionaries, their families and their ministries. Through personal and loving care, these teams are responsible to sustain
our missionaries emotionally, physically, and spiritually on the field and when they return.
Missions Connections
2:42 groups and other small groups are encouraged to “adopt” one of the regions and its workers through Missions Connections. Small groups commit to praying regularly and
are encouraged to meet and support the workers of that region.
Short Term Trips
Short Term Trips vary in scope and destination. Most involve crossing a culture and serving side by side with workers in the field.
Giving
One dollar out of every ten given in weekend worship is dedicated to world mission efforts. Gifts can also be made to support short term trips and to any of our workers on
the field. For more information, contact Pat Creech or see the Financial Support document at the Connection Center.
